What is Sabr (Patience)?

I’ve always wondered what Sabr is. I was never given a proper definition so my concept of it was somewhat distorted; all I understood was that you wait patiently until it’s over. But now, if I were to put it into words, bear with me, this is what I’ve gathered so far: *✨Sabr is suppressing that angry voice in your head, the one that wants to yell at people for being inconsiderate to your struggle.✨* *✨Sabr is swallowing this voice, overcoming it, learning to channel it towards a heartfelt du'a instead.✨* *✨Sabr is forgiving someone when they dismiss your feelings.✨* *✨Sabr is meeting those who deserted you, with a smile on your lips, even though your tears are one step away from exposing you.✨* *✨Sabr is staying silent because you’ve already stated your point too many times before.✨* *✨Sabr is conforming to someone’s demand because of their right over you.✨* *✨Sabr is fulfilling the rights of others even when they transgress against yours.✨* *✨Sabr is crying about your h

I am on duty to serve:

When an European Airline was initially launched, an educated Muslim gentleman was travelling in the first class section. An air hostess approached him with a complimentary drink, this was an alcoholic drink so the man politely refused. The air hostess returned but this time bought the drink on a platter, designed to appeal and impress. However the Muslim man again politely refused, explaining he doesn't drink alcohol. The air hostess was concerned and informed the manager. The manager approached the man with another platter, now designed with flowers, he questioned, “is there something wrong with  service? please enjoy the drink, it is a complimentary offer.” The man replied, “I am a Muslim and I do not drink alcohol.” The manager still insisted that the man take the drink. Then, the Muslim proposed that the manager should give the drink to the pilot.. The manager stated, “how can the pilot drink alcohol, he’s on duty!  And if he drinks there are all chances for the plane to

Last Sermon of Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him):

*THIS SERMON WAS DELIVERED ON THE NINTH DAY OF DHUL-HIJJAH 10 AD IN THE URANAH VALLEY OF MOUNT ARRAFAT* *"O people, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether, after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and TAKE THESE TO THOSE WHO COULD NOT BE PRESENT HERE TODAY.* *O people, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as sacred, so regard the life and property of every muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your lord and that He will indeed reckon your deeds. ALLAH has forbidden you to take usury (interest). Therefore all interst obligation shall henceforth be waived.* *Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in things, so beware of following him in small things.* *O people, it is true that you have th

Raising tomorrows leaders (Children):

Raising tomorrows leaders (18 Tips) By Mufti Ismail Menk 1. Praise your child, even if they get 4/10 in exam, praise your child in front of others. 2. Never make your child feel that he is useless. Never favour one child over the other. 3. Every time we speak with our children speak with respect, say "thank you", etc. Don't use slang i.e gimmi instead say 'please give me'; use clear words, be polite and never swear. (Prophet said, do not use slang as it will decrease your respect). 4. You need to bear in mind when your child is young that this is just a child, don't take away their playing time by treating them like an adult. If we do this, they will rebel in life. 5. We need to assist our children to make decisions. He or she must be taught to make decisions. Acknowledge them, guide them by talking to them, if they want to go for something, organize the plan for them. 6. Whenever you have decisions to be made ask your child of his or her opinion. For e

There is a way out for every difficulty here is how:

يقول الشيخ محمد متولي الشعراوي رحمه الله: Shaykh Sha'arawiy says:   عجبتُ لأربع يغفلون عن أربع: I'm baffled by four persons faced by four situations, but  forget four solutions:   1 - عجبتُ لمن ابتُـلى ( بغم ) ، كيف يغفل عن قول : ۞ لا إلهَ إلاّ أنتَ سُبحانكَ إني كنتُ من الظالمين ۞ *1. Someone in GRIEF*, how does he forget to say: (Laa ilaaha illaa anta, sub-haanaka, innii kuntu minadzaalimeen). There is no deity but You. Glory be to You! Verily, I have been among the wrongdoers. (Surah Al-Anbiya 21:87) Don't you see what Allah says afterwards?   والله يقول بعدها ؛  ۞ فاستجبنا لهُ ونجيناهُ من الغم ۞ "So, we responded to him and saved him from GRIEF..."   2 - عجبتُ لمن ابتُـلى ( بضرّ ) ، كيف يغفل عن قول : ۞ ربي إني مسّنيَ الضرُ وأنتَ أرحمُ الراحمين ۞  *2. Someone in SICKNESS*, how does he forget to say: (Rabbii innii massaniya-dhurr wa anta Arhamur-Raahimeen) O my Rubb, Surely, distress has touched me, and You are the most Merciful of the merciful ones.
