WE ARE 100% ON DUTY:

CAN A MUSLIM  DRINK ALCOHOL? When a European Airline was initially launched, a PRACTICING MUSLIM  gentleman was traveling in the first class section. An air hostess approached him with a complimentary drink, this was an alcoholic drink, but the man politely refused. The air hostess returned but this time brought the drink on a platter, designed to appeal and impress. However, the MUSLIM man again politely refused, explaining he doesn't drink alcohol. The air hostess was concerned and informed the manager. The manager approached the man with another platter, now designed with flowers. He questioned, “Is there something wrong with our service? Please enjoy the drink, it is a complimentary offer.” The man replied, “I am a MUSLIM and I do not drink alcohol? The manager still insisted that the man take the drink. Then, the MUSLIM  proposed that the manager should give the drink to the pilot first. The manager stated, “How can the pilot drink alcohol, he’s on duty! And if he drinks

Prophet Muhammad's (SAW) way of correcting companions' mistakes: what can we learn from it.

Snippets- - Prophet Muhammad, the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) and the most brilliant educator of humanity, approached mistakes not as cause for shame, but as teachable moments. - Studying Prophet Muhammad’s (peace and blessings be upon him) example gives us insight on how to help people in their moments of error. - So deep was the empathy the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had for his people that he did everything possible to make things easy for them. - The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)  would use the power of supplication to help people overcome their faults. He placed his hands on the chest of his companion, or made a special du`aa’ for them in their absence. - The companions were willing to bear the difficult ramifications of their mistakes. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) held to a high standard those who held themselves to a high standard of accountability. Click to read full article from source :

Democracy of Islam:

```_“It was the first religion that preached and practiced democracy; for, in the mosque, when the call for prayer is sounded and worshippers are gathered together, the democracy of Islam is embodied five times a day when the peasant and king kneel side by side and proclaim: ‘God Alone is Great’… “ – Sarojini Naidu_```
Tarbiyah vs. Ta’leem
Sh. Salman al-Odah was asked, “How do you get your kids to love the salah?” The first thing he said was, “Have them love you.” Learn this life lesson: tarbiyah is founded upon relationship. Tarbiyah is the raising up and education of a child such that she can reach her full potential as a human and a Muslim. It is different than ta’leem, which refers to fact-based education. We often confuse the two, giving our children ta’leem when they need tarbiyah. Ta’leem is teaching our children the how-to of the prayer. Memorizing the duas, learning the positions. Tarbiyah is the cuddling after the prayer when we ask each other, “What did you ask for in sajdah?” Ta’leem is memorizing ahadeeth and verses. Tarbiyah is the dinner-table banter where we talk current events and other issues on our mind. Ta’leem is studying fiqh. Tarbiyah is the loving conversation we have about an incident that happened at school. Ta’leem is studying seerah by memorizing dates and events or preparing for a
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh): The Kind Teacher
🌷Bismillaahirrahmanirrahim🌷 °•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•° *❖ Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) ❖* ✺ You Should know this man! ✺ Who is Muhammad (peace be up on him)? ❥❥ "Indeed in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example to follow for whoever hopes in Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah much." (Qur'an 33: 21) ❥❥ Muslims beleive that Muhammad (peace be up on him) is the final Prophet sent to call the people to the obedience and worship of God alone ("Allah" in Arabic). Some of these Prophets include Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon and Jesus (peace be up on them all). ❥❥ Just as Moses (peace be up on him) was sent with the Torah (the original uncorrupted revelation sent to Moses) and Jesus (peace be up on him) with the Gospel (the original, uncorrupted revelation – not the present-day versions), Muslims believe that Muhammad (peace be up on him) was sent with the Qur'an to demonstrate how
What is al Baaqiyaat-us-Salihaat ?
〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰 What is al Baaqiyaat-us-Salihaat ? 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰 When someone you are deeply attached to departs, you feel sad, lonely, and dejected.  When Ramadhaan leaves us, we feel abandoned.  When you have to wind up your Umrah/Hajj journey and you know that this is your last sight of Ka’bah, your spiritual heart bleeds. The absence of permanence in different facets of our life is the common factor for all our heartbreaks. Allah knows of this emotional vacuum in us and therefore graciously tells us to hold on to al Baaqiyaat-us-salihaat, the deeds of lasting permanence. Things that would give us company even in our graves. Those that will save us from eternal damnation. Salihaat = good deeds, al baaqiyaat = the enduring, those that remain forever. The synonymous word for salihaat in the Qur’an is hasanaat, and its antonym  is sayyi’aat = evil deeds  إِنَّ الْحَسَنَاتِ يُذْهِبْنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ “Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds”. Surah Huud 11:114 I feel salihaat is a
