If We willed, We verily could make it salt (and undrinkable): why then do you not give thanks (to Allaah)
اگر ہم چاہیں تو اسے کھاری کر دیں پس کیوں تم شکر نہیں کرتے
And Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) had taught us to say "Alhamdulillaah" after drinking water. The best way to Thank Allaah for quenching our thirst. Just imagine what if the Water was UNDRINKABLE ?????.

"Did you think that We had created you without any purpose, and that you would not be brought back to Us?
سو کیا تم یہ خیال کرتے ہو کہ ہم نے تمہیں نکما پیدا کیا ہے اور یہ کہ تم ہمارے پاس لوٹ کر نہیں آؤ گے
May Allaah protect us from returning to HIM in state of IGNORANCE ( not having understood the Qur'aan ).

يَوْمَ تَشْهَدُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَلْسِنَتُهُمْ وَأَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ - suratun noor 24
On the Day when their tongues, their hands, and their legs (or feet) will bear witness against them as to what they used to do.
جس دن ان پر ان کی زبانیں اور ان کے ہاتھ پاؤں گواہی دیں گے جو کچھ وہ کیا کرتے تھے
Mankind may conceal their wrong doings from one another. However on that day his/her own organs will bear witness for how and where they were used. May Allaah guide us all on to the right path and keep away from the committing sins.

مَثَلُ الَّذِينَ حُمِّلُوا التَّوْرَاةَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَحْمِلُوهَا كَمَثَلِ الْحِمَارِ يَحْمِلُ أَسْفَارًا ۚ بِئْسَ مَثَلُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ  - suratul Jumu'a 5
The likeness of those who were entrusted with the Taurat (Torah) (i.e. to obey its commandments and to practice its laws), but who subsequently failed to do so, is the likeness of a donkey which carries huge burdens of books (but understands nothing from them),. How bad is the example of people who deny the Ayat.
Today the Qur'aan is also treated like the Torah by many of us. May Allaah guide us and save us from being considered as the example of such people He has menitoned in the above ayat.
جن لوگوں (کے سر) پر تورات لدوائی گئی پھر انہوں نے اس (کے بار تعمیل) کو نہ اٹھایا ان کی مثال گدھے کی سی ہے جن پر بڑی بڑی کتابیں لدی ہوں۔ جو لوگ خدا کی آیتوں کی تکذیب کرتے ہیں ان کی مثال بری ہے۔

May Allaah forgive us all our wrong doings and Guide us on the right path.
وہ جسے چاہے بخش دے اور جسے چاہے عذاب کرے

And to everyone, We have appointed heirs of that (property) left by parents and relatives.
اور ہر شخص کے ہم نے وارث مقرر کر دیئے ہیں اس مال کے جو ماں باپ یا رشتہ دار چھوڑ کر مریں

کھاؤ جو ہم نے تمہیں عطا کی اور الله کا شکر کرو

And seek the Forgiveness of Allah, certainly, Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.  - suratun Nisaa 106
اور خدا سے بخشش مانگنا بےشک خدا بخشنے والا مہربان ہے

فَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ
As for 'Ad, they were arrogant in the land without right,
پس قوم عاد نے زمین میں ناحق تکبر کیا
Arrogance is a disease. The disease of pride and arrogance deletes all traces of goodness and piety. This is the worst vice in causing havoc to Deen . May Allaah make us all humble and modest.

تَوَكَّل-  Tawakkala , Tawakkul kiya

This word has appeared 40 times in the Qur'aan
قُلْ هُوَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ مَتَابِ
In Him is my trust, and to Him will be my return with repentance
میں اسی پر بھروسہ رکھتا ہوں اور اسی کی طرف رجوع کرتا ہوں
Wealth, status, connections are worhtless of trust. Abu lahab's WEALTH was of no use to him when he needed most, Firaun's status could not save him,  people holding high positions in society were of no use to those who suffered during crisis. Lets RELY on ALLAAH alone.

يَرِثُنِي وَيَرِثُ مِنْ آلِ يَعْقُوبَ ۖ وَاجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا
And never pray  for any of them (hypocrites) who dies, nor stand at his grave Suratu Maryam - 6
جو میری اور اولاد یعقوب کی میراث کا مالک ہو۔ اور (اے) میرے پروردگار اس کو خوش اطوار بنائیو

"Who shall inherit me, and inherit (also) the posterity of Ya'qub (Jacob) (inheritance of the religious knowledge and Prophethood, not of wealth.). And make him, my Lord, one with whom You are Well-Pleased!"

And to perform As-Salat  and to be obedient to Allah and fear Him, and it is He to Whom you shall be gathered. Suratul an-aam - 72
اور یہ کہ نماز قائم رکھو اور الله سے ڈرتے رہو وہی ہے جس کے سامنے اکھٹے کیے جاؤ گے

So Allah made them to taste the disgrace in the present life
پھر ان کو خدا نے دنیا کی زندگی میں رسوائی کا مزہ چکھا دیا

رَدَّ - Radda - Returned , turned back , waapas ayaa, phir gaya

وَلَا يُرَدُّ بَأْسُنَا عَنِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ
And Our punishment cannot be warded off from the people who are Mujrimun - suratu Yusuf :110
اور ہمارا عذاب (اتر کر) گنہگار لوگوں سے پھرا نہیں کرتا

Let us all pray for our children with this long dua.  A POWERFUL DU'A FOR CHILDREN! In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful! Can women perform salah at musjid and attend Eid salah:
