The meaning of sustenance (Rizq):

English Translation:

“Do not grieve over your low salary, perhaps you have been given something else in exchange for your sustenance.”

A great scholar, jurist, and Imam of his time says:

  • “It is not necessary that sustenance should be wealth.”

  • “Perhaps sustenance has been given in the form of good character or beauty.”

  • “Perhaps sustenance has been given in the form of sound intellect.”

  • “Which gives rise to good manners, gentleness, and patience.”

  • “Perhaps sustenance has been given in the form of a righteous spouse.”

  • “Or noble and supportive relatives and children.”

  • “Perhaps sustenance has been given in the form of beneficial knowledge.”

  • “Perhaps sustenance has been given in the form of a long life.”

  • “Perhaps sustenance has been given in the form of a pure heart.”

  • “Which grants affection and favors to people.”

  • “Perhaps sustenance has been given in the form of a peaceful heart.”

  • “Indeed, he who has a peaceful heart is the one who is truly blessed.”

  • “Perhaps sustenance has been given in the form of a good nature.”

  • “Who bestows goodness on others, right and left.”

  • “Perhaps sustenance has been given in the form a garment of piety.”

  • “And it has clothed the person with honor and glory.”

  • “Perhaps sustenance has been given in the form of a safe reputation.”

  • “And a secure and lawful dwelling.”

  • “It is not necessary that sustenance should be wealth.”

  • “Be content and thank Allah Almighty.”

Therefore, Sustenance is not limited to wealth. So, Be satisfied with what has been given And continue to thank Allah Almighty.

O Allah, grant us the blessing of faith and a tranquil soul. Amen, Amen, O Lord of the Worlds.

The moment we realize that everything happens by the will of Allaah, all our worries begin to fade away:

 - (external source) 🌷 *Whatever Allaah does......it's for our best*🌷 When my daughter was 2 years old, she loved to play with the water in the toilet bowl.  Yes, that's right.... *the toilet bowl!!* Yuck!!  That's nasty...you would say!!  But to *her*, that was the *delight of the day!*  Splish...splash!  To her innocent mind, there was nothing like it!  And so when I would prevent her from playing with it, she would scream and cry and wouldn't want to stop.  She didn't understand how harmful that was for her.  In her little brain, I took away something that she really enjoyed.   And when I would take her to the doctor to have her immunization shots, she wouldn't understand that either.  She would *howl* at the top of her lungs at the first sight of the needle and would run the other way.  It would take two of us just to hold her down!  To her, it was nothing but *torture*!  Her innocent little mind...

A believer's story of a Quarintine:

Assalamu Alaikum  Alhamdhulillah ... By the grace of Almighty Allah, I reached home yesterday by the Delhi... Trivandrum special train.  And now I'm under home quarantine for two weeks in the upper flat of our residence. My children and grandchildren are all away, so strict quarantine is made easy.  I request you all to make Dhua for ease.    We started for Nizaamudheen on the 11th of February, from Kollam ( Ab. Kareem Sb of Poredam, Thaha Sr of Pattazy and myself ), to spend two months in Nizaamudheen Markaz for Thartheeb. But eventually, as you know, things took a different course.  Insha Allah, it will be exactly 4 months on 11th June, when we finish the ongoing quarantine.     We were put in forced quarantine for 58 days in 4 different quarantine camps in Delhi without periodic tests. The entire Ramadhaan and Edul Fithr was spent in the camps. We had the unique distinction of having total vegitarian food for a full Ramadhaan and even on t...

Since Allah knows what’s hidden in our hearts, it’s vain to show-off. • Beloved Prophet Muhammed ﷺ used to consume camel’s milk and flesh. The Jews said that it has been prohibited in the Abrahamic religions. Though Prophet Muhammed ﷺ did not learn to read and write formally & traditionally, he ﷺ challenged them to bring Torah and prove the same if they were true. They couldn’t. • Sayyiduna Yaqoob (alaihissalam) himself forbade from consuming camel’s milk and flesh, and that wasn’t a prohibition from Allah. Just like Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (ra) self-prohibited honey consumption, keeping in view the poverty of the then Muslims. • Verses 95 to 97 talk about the Hajj obligation on those who can afford.  • Allah states that Kaba in Ma...

Eid al-Adha Mubarak:

 - Eid al-Adha  teaches us lessons of devotion and sacrifice. The obedience to Allah, the sacrifice, and the selfless loyalty of  Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), peace be upon him, and Prophet Ismail (Ishmael), peace be upon him,  were so beloved by Allah, the Lord of all creation, that He decreed them to be observed by believers until the Day of Judgment. On this blessed and joyous occasion of Eid al-Adha, with reliance on the Almighty Allah and adherence to the teachings of His Prophets, and with prayers for the establishment of unity and solidarity worldwide,  this humble servant extends Eid al-Adha greetings to you and your family.

We must circulate the money by rotating it whatever amount we have, instead of having desires to earn more:

 - August-04-2021. Today's learning: **Money controlling efforts:*   *Introduction:*  Islam has always reminded us to address the human problems by continuously checking and balancing the wealth, instead of remaining in the hands of few.So, the method of rotation must keep going on, in order to allow the free flow of money between all the people. No matter what, ultimately even after our great efforts to hoard it, one day or the other it's going to leave us eventually.  *Hard earned money:* Islam says that hard earned money's value is more loved by Allah subhanahu wa taala as was earned by Prophet Dawood (peace be upon him).Allah made the iron smooth for him to turn it into different shapes and make it a useful commodity/good. Once Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) was asked about the best job, and he replied by saying. "A job that is done by one's own hand, and every decent trade. Hadith Imam Ahmed (16628).  *Methods of utilising:* One could spe...
