*1. "I realized that the sustenance (rizq) written for me is fixed and will neither increase nor decrease. So, I accepted my fate, stopped striving for more, and found contentment in what I have."*

*2. "I understood that no one else can fulfill the rights of Allah on my behalf. Therefore, I devoted myself entirely to fulfilling my responsibilities toward Him."*

*3. "I acknowledged that one thing is always pursuing me—death. It is inevitable, and I cannot escape it. I made peace with this fact and stopped fearing it."*

*4. "I became aware that my Lord is always watching over me. I felt a deep sense of shame before Him and thus refrained from sinning."*

Assalamu Alaikum Alhamdhulillah ... By the grace of Almighty Allah, I reached home yesterday by the Delhi... Trivandrum special train. And now I'm under home quarantine for two weeks in the upper flat of our residence. My children and grandchildren are all away, so strict quarantine is made easy. I request you all to make Dhua for ease. We started for Nizaamudheen on the 11th of February, from Kollam ( Ab. Kareem Sb of Poredam, Thaha Sr of Pattazy and myself ), to spend two months in Nizaamudheen Markaz for Thartheeb. But eventually, as you know, things took a different course. This story about “Istighfar” is from the life of Imam Ahmed Bin Hanbal, often referred to as the “Sheikh ul-Islam” or the “Imam of Ahl al-Sunnah.” During his old age, while Imam Ahmed was travelling he stopped by a town. After the prayers, he wanted to stay for the night in the masjid yard because he didn’t know anyone in the town. Owing to his humility, he hadn’t introduced himself to anyone thinking that if he did, he would be welcomed by many people. Failing to recognize Ahmed bin Hanbal, the caretaker of the mosque refused to let him stay in the mosque. As Imam Ahmed was quite old, the caretaker had to drag him out of the mosque. On seeing this, a baker from a nearby place felt pity for Imam Ahmed and offered to be the host to him for the night. During his stay with the baker, Imam Ahmed observed that the baker would constantly recite Istighfar.
