Being moderate in eating, spending, living:

-

 Today's learning.

August-03-2021.

 *Being moderate:*

Al Quran: Al Isra Chapter 17- verse 27.

Meaning: Verily, the spendthrifts are the brothers of Satan. And the Satan is always ungrateful to his Lord.

 *Inference:*

Imam Bukhari says:

1.Quran doesn't forbid to spend, but it forbids to spend extravagantly. One must also not go to extremes, but rather, one must be moderate in spending. One can spend on the basic amenities like food , clothing and shelter but in a controlled way.The excess or surplus is not entertained.

 *Moderation in food intake:*

Dividing stomach in three parts.

One must fill one third of his stomach with food, and the other one third with water and the last one third must be left empty for air. There must always be an appetite/hunger remaining in our stomachs.

 **Eating Degrees:*

 *Obligatory(Farz):*

To eat minimum so that one can stay alive.

 *Rightful(Waajib):*

To eat enough food so that one could work to earn a livelihood.

*Sunnah:(tradition/way of prophet Muhammad) (sallallahu alaihi wasallam)*

To eat upto necessity but still the hunger must remain.

 *Unlawful (Naajayaz):*

To eat extra more than is needed for pleasure.

 *Moderation in accomodation:*

Likewise one must be simple in using rooms.Minimum basic cannot be ignored and the aspect of privacy also must not be compromised.Apart from this whatever excess we don't use and just keep it to show off to maintain our social position must be avoided.Or else we would be among the people who are lost in this world and eventually get ourselves lost in the glitters of this temporary world that would one day be destroyed eventually.

*Bemahal kharch:(* wasteful spending in wrong situation/condition/circumstances.)

It's always encouraged to spend on the poor, needy , welfare activities and in the way of Allah. And it is always discouraged to spend lavishly without any lawful or valid purpose and just for the sake of fun, pleasure and enjoyment in the wrong direction.

 *Origin of problems:*

Problems arise when one gets distracted from his goals like fulfilling the desires, wishes, love of the world and lust/crave of the carnal pleasures. So we need to control ourselves carefully.

 *Progress and development:*

To cut short the expenses and spending efficiently in true sense is  the actual development and progress of body , mind and soul that leads to shaoor.(Consciousness).(ehsaas,waqoof ,agaahi)

 *Mapping and Comparison:*

We must never compare ourselves with anyone as the criteria to balance or compete with others is a never ending phenomenon.Rather, we could compare ourselves with Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and could see the differences in his and our lifestyle.Rasoolullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) had the utmost consciousness and control in spending, eating, living a simple and especially ascetic life.

 *Summary:*

Eat less.

Sleep less.

Talk less

Spend less.

Love the world less.

May Allah give us all the correct understanding of Islam.Ameen.

May Allah guide us to practically implement all wise teachings of Islam.Ameen.

Quran Juz 21 – Utlu Ma Oohiya - Summary:

 - Quran Juz 21 – Utlu Ma Oohiya Summary Join Us:  https://chat.whatsapp.com/EwGX2NFn95O2Bo92HkyyiI • This Juz starts off with the divine commands of Quranic recitation and establishment of prayers.  • The benefit of establishing prayers is mentioned. It keeps a person off from indecency and vulgarity. Hence, a Muslim can use this as a parameter to know the acceptance or rejection of his/her prayers in the Court of Allah. • How can a person deem his prayers as acceptable if s/he is involved in lies, breach of promises, oppression, open loot, indecency in vision and speech etc.  • One of the characteristic features of Prophet Muhammed ﷺ is being mentioned, that is he did not formally learn to read and write. However, his teacher is Allah the Exalted; there is a hidden wisdom behind this aspect.  • Then Allah commanded that a Muslim must not shun morals should there be a need to discuss and debate with the People of the Book (Jews and Christians).  ...

Discipline is not oppression, it is love in action:

 - *The Perils of Pampering: Raising Disciplined, God-Conscious Children*   In a world that glorifies instant gratification, indulgence, and materialism, we risk raising a generation that lacks resilience, respect, and responsibility. The saying, *"A pampered child becomes a spoiled adult,"* holds profound truth. If we fail to discipline our children today, we may find ourselves helplessly watching them struggle tomorrow or worse, witnessing them turn into entitled, inconsiderate adults.   *Discipline is not oppression, it is love in action*. It is the framework that shapes a child’s character, teaching them that life does not always bend to their will. If we refuse to instill these values at home, the world will teach them often in ways we would never approve of.   Islam places immense emphasis on disciplined upbringing. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:   > *"Command your children to pray at the age of seven, and discipline them for it at t...

We need to go back to these core teachings and examples of Islam and similarly strive for achieving an ethical and moral society, wherever we live:

- Assalamualaikum, For those who can drop their 21st century cultural baggage and read this sermon in its own historical context, one can’t help but admire it as one of the earliest declarations of human rights in written history. Almost everything Muhammad SAWS says in this prophetic sermon was almost unheard of and inconceivable prior to the arrival of Islam. The Prophet of Islam addresses some of the core universal values in a society where those values are long forgotten and violated in a systemic basis. The Prophet didn’t only say but transformed his society, in a very short period of time, remarkably in all the values and lessons that he talks about.  In this sermon of Muhammad SAWS, Muslims find their deep commitment to the universal human values such as sacredness of life and property, equality, justice, peace and more. Upon these high universal values, the religion of Islam was built.  We still have so much to learn from this 1,440-plus-year-old cry and we are so much...

Duwa for parents:

- *DUWA FOR PARENTS* ❝The one who prays for his parents after every salah will be considered an obedient child on the day of judgment.❞ — Sufyan al-Thawri (R.A) Shaikh Uthaimeen (raḥimahullāh) said: ❝Your supplications for your parent in your salah of Taraweeh or Tahajjud is better than slaughtering ten (10) camels as sadaqah on his behalf.❞ [Liqaa Al-Bab Al-Maftooh - 115] Sh. ʿAbdur-Razzāq al-Badr Hafiẓahullāh said: “From the GREATEST forms of kindness towards parents (Birr al-Wālidayn) is to make DŪʿĀ for (Allāh's) Mercy and Forgiveness upon them — be they alive or dead — with the condition that they are or were Muslims..” ● [فقه الأدعية والأذكار ٢/٢٤٠] ✒ Make Duʿā For Your Parents Prophet Muḥammad (Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam) said: إن الرجل لترفع درجته في الجنة فيقول : أنى لي هذا ؟ فيقال : باستغفار ولدك لك “Indeed a man's status is raised in Jannah and he asks: ‘Where did I get this from?’, so it is said to him: ‘By your child seeking forgiveness (of Allāh) for you’.” ● [م...

The Doctor, Medicine and Muslims past 1000 years:

 - Muslim science  par excellence  was the study of medicine. Interest in medicine goes back to the very earliest times. The Prophet himself stated that there was a remedy for every illness, and was aware that some diseases were contagious. The great contribution of the Arabs was to put the study of medicine on a scientific footing and eliminate superstition and harmful folk-practices. Medicine was considered a highly technical calling, and one which required long study and training. Elaborate codes were formulated to regulate the professional conduct of doctors. It was not enough to have a mastery of one’s subject in order to practice medicine. Certain moral qualities were mandatory.  Ibn Hazm  said that a doctor should be kind, understanding, friendly, good, able to endure insults and adverse criticism; he must keep his hair short, and his fingernails as well; he must wear clean, white clothes and behave with dignity. Before doctors could practice, they had to...

Some of the traditional methods of raising children in Tarim (Yemen):

*Raising children* Some of the traditional methods of raising children in Tarim (Yemen). This is really beautiful. Women expecting children would ensure every morsel going into their mouths was halal. Breastfeeding mothers would repeatedly recite Ayah al-Kursi, Surah al-Falaq, Surah al-Nas and du'as of protection over their babies. When a child first began to speak it would be taught to say: رَضِيتُ بِاللهِ رَبّاً، وبِالإِسْلامِ دِيناً، و بسيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَبِيَّاً ورَسُولاً ‘I am content with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with our Master Muhammad ﷺ as my Prophet and Messenger.’ Parents would teach their children the importance of making good intentions and what intentions to make just as they would teach them how to recite Surat al-Fatiha. Parents would teach their children to call upon Allah in every situation. If a child asked for something, his parents would tell him to perform wudu, pray two rak'ats and then ask Allah to fulfil his...
