•        Surah Anfal continues in this Juz and talks about the spoils of war and its distributive methods.

•        The Battle of Badr is mentioned once again.

•        In this battlefield, the land on which the polytheists of Makkah had had stationed was a smooth plain. They also had water at their end. In contrast, the land where the Muslims had camped was very sandy, which posed difficulty to walk on; availability of water was scarce too. Despite these foundational difficulties, Allah granted victory to Muslims, so that the Muslims at and the polytheists at Badr who fought the war, and the rest of the world till the end of times can adjudge who was on the right path.

•        Following are the Quranic principles of gaining Allah’s support are being mentioned, they are:

1.        Steadfastness.

2.        Abundant remembrance (dhikr) of Allah.

3.        Refrainment from internal conflicts.

4.        Observation of patience during inconvenient times against the enemy.

•        The Divine Rule: The defeat at Badr brought disgrace to the Quraishi polytheists of Makkah. If any nation slips into disobedience rather than thankfulness, and injustice rather than obedience (of Allah), then it has been Allah’s rule to also change the situation of that community and involve it into calamities so that they can retrospect.

•        The secret of any nation’s rise or fall: Then the indisputable rule of nations’ rise and fall is being mentioned: Allah does not bring downfall to any nation unless it degrades itself (in terms of everything: manners, justice, political system, trade & commerce, economics, etc.).

•        Shaytan’s escape from Badr: Shaytan was present in human form at Badr during the combat, in the form of Suraqah bin Maalik. He was provoking the disbelievers to fight. But when he saw Sayyiduna Jibraeel (alaihissalam) descend with 3000 (three thousand) angels, he started to escape. When the disbelievers asked him, he said: “I see what you cannot see. I am afraid of Allah, and His grip is very intensely tough.”

•        Allah asked to deal strictly with those people who break agreements.

•        Muslims were advised to prepare for Badr on these lines:

1.        Materially (through wealth etc.)

2.        Militarily

3.        Spiritually

•        Verse 72 talks about maintaining hearty relations with those who love Allah and believe in Him.

•        Surah Taubah: This chapter talks about the acceptance of the Taubah (repentance) of those three sincerely companions who did not come forward in a Ghazwah.

•        The Basmalah is not read before reciting this Surah.

•        It declares that Prophet Muhammed ﷺ gave his due right by introducing Allah’s commands (Islam) to humanity.

•        This Surah also exposed the true character of the then hypocrites who were soft deniers of Zakah and combats for defending Islam.

•        Allah the Exalted advised Muslims to love Allah, His Prophet ﷺ, and the struggle in the way of Allah, more than the love of materialistic things of this world.

•        It is being mentioned that Muslims, since the beginning, despite being few in numbers, struggled in the way of Allah through persistence and by seeking Allah’s help.

•        However, in Hunain the Muslims outnumbered the disbelievers. Somehow, they felt superior. But the archers of the opponents scattered them. It was due to the persistence of Prophet Muhammed ﷺ that they all assembled again.

•        Verse 40 talks about the virtue of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (ra), for his sacrifice and proactive support for Prophet Muhammed ﷺ.

•        The chieftain of hypocrites Abdullah bin Ubayy was involved in deep enmity with Prophet Muhammed ﷺ. But when he died, Prophet Muhammed ﷺ didn’t take even a second’s time to lead his funeral prayer. Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (ra) kept on questioning Prophet Muhammed ﷺ, as if he didn’t want our prophet ﷺ to lead the funeral prayers.

Allah revealed the verse which said that even if the prophet ﷺ prayed for Abdullah bin Ubayy for 70 times, he will not be forgiven. Prophet Muhammed ﷺ said about this revelation to Sayyiduna Umar (ra), but also said told him that if Allah were to forgive Ibn Ubayy if he prayed for the 71st time, he would still pray for his forgiveness. (Allahu Akbar!)

Rasoolullah's ﷺ Shoes and Leather Socks:

Rasoolullah (ﷺ) wore shoes like sandals or slippers. Rasoolullah (ﷺ) also wore black leather socks and during Wadhu passed his moist hanks over them (made Masah). His shoes had two straps between the toes (Uswah: Mirqaat). There was a strap at the back as well. The Shoes of Rasoolullah (ﷺ) were one span and two fingers long and 7 fingers wide; there was a space of two fingers between the two straps at the toe end (Uswah) Rasoolullah (ﷺ)used to wear shoes made of leather that was smooth after the removal of the animal hair, and after wadhu He would place his feet into them because they were pure and made in such a way that his toes would thouch the ground. (Uswah) Rasoolullah (ﷺ) also wore shoes made of smooth leather. (Mishkaat) Rasoolullah (ﷺ) would would grip his shoes with his left thumb and index finger. Quran recitation, amazing voice:

 - Click to listen: السلام عليكم ورحمة الله و بركاته  Saeed Noor from Sudan  Rare recitation style !!!! in the early 1930’s and 40’s he would recite Quran that would stop people on their tracks . Train and bus drivers would stop vehicles open the doors and listen if they so happened to catch him as he walked on reciting Quran as he so often did . He refused countless efforts bY the Egyptian radio to record his voice as he feared fitnah.  In late 1940 he went to perform Hajj where he was welcomed by the Saudi Government and after much pressure from king AbdulAziz who loved his voice he accepted to record some quran in Makkah which was given as a gift to the pilgrims . The king offered him residency which he turned down. He passed away rahimuhullah in the mid 60’s in Kuwait .  Here is a sample of this Rare Jewels Voice which moves you to the core.. So listen ... Business is absolutely a reflection of your character:

 - A self-analysis on business failure! When I started a business, I made a loss and my mother who is a wise lady (her father & grandfather were successful businessmen) she commented, son there must be something wrong in your character because of that you made a loss.  I was a disciplined guy, but her remark stunned me. I stopped my business activities for some time and started reading books to understand what is character. (Translation of Quran & Seerah of Prophet (PBUH) and some other good books). After a few months of deep study, my final conclusion was, ”Character is what you do when nobody is watching”. I did self-introspection and amended one thing when I am all alone, I am at my best by thinking or doing something good which can take me closer to Allah the creator.  After I made that amendment in my personal character and then restarted my business.  Since then by the grace of Almighty, there was no looking back. Business is absolutely a reflection of ...

Spend and do not be afraid of a decrease from the Owner of the Throne:

-  "A man asked his friend: Are you not afraid when you give money to the poor that the crisis is prolonged..and you may need this money ? I expected the response would be: “Charity does not decrease wealth” or " Spend and I shall spend on you.’”   But the answer was new to me. He said with full confidence: The spenders are like martyrs.. "They shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve."  So I searched in the Noble Qur’an for the validity of this saying, and found that "there is no fear for them, nor do they grieve" was indeed mentioned in reference to both the Martyrs and Spenders.  It was mentioned twice towards the spenders in Surat Al-Baqarah.  Those who spend their wealth in charity day and night, secretly and openly—their reward is with their Lord, and there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve. (2:274) Those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah and do not follow their charity with reminders of their generosity or hurtful words—the...

Discipline is not oppression, it is love in action:

 - *The Perils of Pampering: Raising Disciplined, God-Conscious Children*   In a world that glorifies instant gratification, indulgence, and materialism, we risk raising a generation that lacks resilience, respect, and responsibility. The saying, *"A pampered child becomes a spoiled adult,"* holds profound truth. If we fail to discipline our children today, we may find ourselves helplessly watching them struggle tomorrow or worse, witnessing them turn into entitled, inconsiderate adults.   *Discipline is not oppression, it is love in action*. It is the framework that shapes a child’s character, teaching them that life does not always bend to their will. If we refuse to instill these values at home, the world will teach them often in ways we would never approve of.   Islam places immense emphasis on disciplined upbringing. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:   > *"Command your children to pray at the age of seven, and discipline them for it at t...

A key insight into the development of your child:

THIS WAS DELIVERED BY SHAYKH AKRAM NADWI IN A CONFERENCE AT THE AZHAR UNIVERSITY, CAIRO. DEPT OF ISLAMIC PSYCHOLOGY EDUCATION. - The purpose of marriage is to have children and then educate them to worship Allah SWT. - When a child is born, a mother and father are also born. - The personal development of the parents is just as important as that of the child. This point is often overlooked. - Modern education seeks to incorporate people into the economy - to make money. Islamic education seeks to train people to become 'good' individuals, in terms of their character etc. 'Good' meaning to prepare for the Hereafter. - Your children, before they are your children, they are the slaves of Allah. His rights over them precede your rights. - Your duty is to teach them and provide them guidance - not to make them pious. You will be questioned whether you taught them right or not. - Parents need to realise they too are slaves of Allah. His rights over them precede their...
