•        At the start of this Juz, Allah talks about two types of characters:

1.        The first is that of the one who lies about Allah and denies the truth. Such will enter Hell.

2.        The second is that of the one who always speaks truth about Allah, and whenever he encounters truth, he not just accepts it but supports it. Such a person is a Muttaqi (Godfearing); Allah will forgive all of his sins and everything that he craved will be presented to him in Heaven.

•        Allah calls slumber as temporary death; though He says that He takes away the souls during sleep and death, this action is prolonged on the ones who die. A lesson can thus be learnt by those who ponder.

•        Verses 49 onwards talk about the human tendencies wherein a person calls Allah while in pain and suffering but forgets thanking Him while attaining blessings from Him. All those who did so in the past were punished, and all those who do or will do so will also be punished.

•        Allah’s special offer for disbelievers and sinners: Verse 53 states that Allah keeps His doors of mercy open for disbelievers & sinners, and calls them to repent and turn toward Himself. So, they should always be optimistic with regards to their feelings and approach toward Allah.

•        Similarly, Allah also promised forgiveness to Muslims who repent sincerely after going astray.

•        Surah Mu’min/Ghafir: This chapter talks about the truthfulness and fearless voice of a person, and one of the attributes of Allah which is to forgive sins.

•        The start of the chapter speaks about the Holy Quran as a miracle of Prophet Muhammed ﷺ, which still is a witness to his messengership despite centuries passing by.

•        Verse 7 states that the angels which hold the Throne, and are around it, glorify Allah, and pray for the forgiveness of those who repent.

•        The next few verses talk about the disbelievers and their abode in the hereafter.

•        Then the episode takes us back to the times of Sayyiduna Musa (a.s.) whose opposers said that they opposed him due to him changing people’s religion, and creating corruption on earth (astaghfirullah)!

•        During this time, when Sayyiduna Musa (a.s.) prayed to Allah for help, one of the most influential men from Firawn’s family rose up, accepted Islam secretly, and declared his open support to Sayyiduna Musa by ignoring all the national, social, and political protocols, and said: “Are you willing to kill a person who calls you toward Allah and has clear signs and miracles?” But Firawn didn’t heed. He remained firm on his verdict to kill Sayyiduna Musa (a.s.). If we take a look at today’s dictators, they act similarly. They deem their words to be the final statement. We also have such imposers ruling over the Muslim lands today, who do not even consider consulting Islamic scholars on any matter.

•        The defender of Sayyiduna Musa (a.s.) said: “O my people! Think over this – you rule over these lands today, but if Allah’s torment comes on us, then who will save us from it?” Finally, he said this in a sad tone: “You’re not heeding me today, but a day will come when you’ll recall my words, but repentance at that time will not benefit you. I leave everything on Allah.”

•        However, Allah saved him and destroyed Firawn and his army.

•        Then the Quran talks about the mutual fight amongst the sinners. They will seek at least a day’s parole from Hell, but their request will be turned down.

•        It is sufficient for a human to consider his own creation to know Allah. Every human goes through multiple phases as an embryo. And when he is born, he is utmost weak, with no sense of anything. Then Allah strengthens him and gives him wisdom and understanding during adulthood, then Allah returns him to old age which brings to him weaknesses again. Then death takes him over, but that is not it. He is given life again so that he can undergo the remaining stages in the hereafter.

•        Surah Fussilat/Sajdah: The start of the chapter mentions different sarcastic reasons the disbelievers give to not accept Islam.

•        Allah mentions that a few nations still do not believe in Him despite seeing the nature that He created, which has hidden signs of Him.

•        Next verses again talk about the nations of Aad and Thamood. (These nations are being mentioned in the Quran again and again so as to keep a human alert again and again and he doesn’t follow their footsteps of disobedience).

•        Verses 19 onwards talk about the time on the Day of Judgement when the body parts of the deniers of Allah will give statements against them to Allah. It also narrates the dialogue between them and their body parts. (Refer to the Quran for more).

•        Good news for the believers: Glad tidings are being given to the believers when they die. Their spirit will ascent upon heavens only to be welcomed by angels who will tell the spirits neither to worry nor to be sorrowful of anything. The spirits will then be told that Allah has arranged a feast for them in Heavens, and everything that they will wish for will be present right away.

•        A unique advice from Allah: Verse 24 says that good and evil cannot be equal. Allah advised us to try to return evil with goodness. Thus, a time will come when the opponents become close friends and supporters.

•        Allah said in the verse 39 that the celestial bodies like sun and the moon are the signs of Allah. So He asked us to look into it as a sign, rather than being taken as gods.

How does Allah Ta’ala increase when He accepts the sadaqah!:

- It is a story from 1282 Hijri, that is, 160 years ago. There was a noble and righteous woman named Munira in the city of Buraidah, Saudi Arabia. She intended to bequeath her jewellery to her brother before she died and instructed him to buy a shop from that money. Whatever income would come from this shop would be spent to fulfill the needs of masakeen.  After her death, her brother sold the jewellery and bought a shop in the name of his sister, which was worth twelve riyals according to the currency of the period. He rented the shop and the rent money was used to attend to the needs of masakeen. This continued for nearly 100 years. After 100 years, the monthly rent of the shop had reached 15,000 riyals and through this money more things were provided for the needy. Then came the day when the Saudi government decided to expand the Mosque of Buraidah and decided to acquire land and shops within the vicinity of the expansion site. The shop of the deceased woman was within the bound...

Isra was the beloved’s ﷺ journey from Makkah to Jerusalem, and Meraj was that from Jerusalem to the Heavens. •        This chapter also mentions in detail many incidents of Bani Israel. •        Allah’s wisdom behind taking Prophet Muhammed ﷺ to Jerusalem was to grant him and his followers the custodianship of Masjid al-Aqsa, just like that of Masjid al-Haraam in Makkah.  •        Though this chapter is themed at Tawheed, morals, affirmation of the Doomsday, but it also focuses on messengership, and particularly in that of Prophet Muhammed’s ﷺ. •        The ...

Being accessible, lenient, tender, and easy to get along with

 - Ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not inform of whom Hellfire is forbidden for? Or he is forbidden for Hellfire? It is forbidden for someone who is accessible, lenient, tender, and easy to get along with."     [Authentic hadith] - [Narrated by At-Termedhy - Narrated by Ahmad] الشرح Shall I not inform you of whom Hellfire is forbidden to burn? It is forbidden for he who is accessible to people, who sits with them in the places of worship, and treat them kindly to the best of his ability; and he who is forbearing, lenient, and tolerant in dealing with them. Allaah did not call him Khaleel after a single moment. The friendship ripened through repeated surrender, across fire and desert and stone:

 - Allaah did not call him Khaleel after a single moment. The friendship ripened through repeated surrender, across fire and desert and stone. - Taqwa, when it matures in the crucible of trial, is the precise and correct ordering of the loves within a heart. It is the absolute knowledge of which love sits upon the throne, and which loves, however deep, however true, however entirely lawful, must bow beneath it.  - Tawakkul is the heart’s genuine reliance upon Allaah as the sole ultimate cause of all things, combined with the employment of every legitimate means. Islam teaches freedom from servitude to causes without teaching contempt for them. It is the settled condition of a heart that has understood that creation possesses only delegated force. What burns burns because it is permitted to burn; what heals heals because it is permitted to heal. No thing in creation holds or withholds what belongs solely to the Creator. - Hasbunallaahu wa ni’mal Wakeel. Allaah is sufficient for...

Prophet (s.a.w) warned his Companions from harming or abusing their animals:

- The Prophet Muhammed ﷺ: THE ADVOCATE FOR ANIMAL RIGHTS  From the mercy of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is His ﷺ mercy towards animals. He ﷺ taught His ﷺ followers that even animals have rights and that we must show them mercy and kindness. He ﷺ warned his Companions from harming or abusing their animals. On one occasion, the Prophetﷺ came across an emaciated camel that was tied up to a column. Seeing this distressed Himﷺ.  He told His ﷺCompanions to fear God with respect to these animals, as they will be held accountable on the Day of Judgement in their treatment regarding them. On another occasion, God's Messenger ﷺ passed by a man who was milking a sheep. He ﷺ said: "When you milk her, leave some for her lamb because it is one of the gentlest of animals." Speaking of the rights of animals, He ﷺ also said: "Ride these animals as long as they are healthy, and do not take them as seats (when not riding)." And: 'God orders you to treat these beasts of burden well when...

Quran Juz 7 – Wa Iza Sami’u - Summary:

 - Quran Juz 7 – Wa Iza Sami’u Summary Join Us: https://chat.whatsapp.com/EwGX2NFn95O2Bo92HkyyiI • Allah talks about those Christians who cannot control their tears when they listen to the Qur’anic recitation. This was especially in context to Najashi Ash’amah, the Christian King of Habsha who had accepted Islam. • From Verses 87 of Surah Maidah the topics like Halal & Haram and extremism are discussed. • Islam is a religion of balance. It neither calls for abstention of permissible items (for drinking, eating, wearing etc.) as piety, nor does it abolish the distinction between Halal & Haram. • Verse 89 talks about oaths (qasm/aqd). The penalty of breaking the oath is to either feed 10 poor and needy, twice, with an average food of his/her usual intake (cost wise), or to clothe them, or to free a slave. If someone cannot do it, he/she should fast on three days. Allah also advices to be true on oaths to be safe from getting penalized. • If a person takes an oath of...
