Prophet Muhammad (SAW) Said, ‘I do not eat when reclining... for I am but a slave; I eat as a slave eats and sit as a slave sits':


Abu Juhayfa Wahb ibn ‘Abdullah said, “The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, ‘I do not eat reclining.'”  al-Bukhari

If eating with your hand, use three fingers with small bites, lifting it gently with ease to your mouth. Close your mouth while eating to avoid unnecessary noises. To eat on the floor is nearer to what the Prophet used to do.

At other times he would raise his right leg and sit on his left.’ He used to say: ‘I do not eat when reclining... for I am but a slave; I eat as a slave eats and sit as a slave sits.’

She asked him, "How much are you selling the eggs for?" The old seller replied to her, "Rs.5/- for one egg, Madam." She said to him, "I will take 6 eggs for Rs.25/- or I will leave." She took it and walked away with a feeling that she has won. She got into her fancy car and went to pick her friend, and invited her to a posh  restaurant. An air hostess approached him with a complimentary drink, this was an alcoholic drink so the man politely refused. The air hostess returned but this time bought the drink on a platter, designed to appeal and impress. However the Muslim man again politely refused, explaining he doesn't drink alcohol.
