My Tryst with Urdu and Journey so far:

 -

By: Iqbal Sattar

Dear friend.

I was educated up to 3rd standard in Dharwad in Government Urdu School. Our Teacher with white pagadi and hanging back portion was so nice. My father was an Education officer in Dharwad. He established many Urdu Schools, in Dharwad, Bijapur, Belgaum and Karwar. He used his approach to Urdu Schools in villages for community outreach.

I completed my 7th in Belgaum Government Urdu School and SSC ie XIth in Islamiya High School Camp Belgaum. These 11 years of Urdu medium strengthen my love for Education. The teachers in those days were devoted.

Our Headmasters and principal Late Adam Jamadar, were great personalities.

Library, newspaper, reading books, discussion, allocution competitions, sports, science exhibition, and Drama competition were part of Education.

We learnt good English, Persian, Kannada and Marathi along with Urdu. The interaction with teachers was wonderful. My principal had called me in his office and corrected my Aswersheet for 3 hours. Each and every word and line he read and explained my mistakes. At that time he had had told me Urdu Couplets are Allexire (Abe Hayat) for brain development.

We worked for the garden, School building, extempore speeches, poetry and discussion. As a result, our batch was containing students from well-off parents and our entire batch had successful careers in their lives.

When we gathered after many years. We attributed our success of the batch to our devoted Teachers.

After B.Sc., I joined SFRC Coimbatore after a tough selection procedure and training in forestry. When I was joining my first posting in Sawantwadi my father advised me to be in touch with Urdu Schools, wherever you are posted. What a great vision.

I served in 6 Districts of Western Maharashtra and Konkan. I had a chance to be in touch with more than 200 Urdu medium Schools. My final interaction was with Azam Campus Pune. Where I met Dr.P.A.inamdar.He advised me to join my native School in Kudachi after retirement and work for community development.

When I joined Junnediya High School, Kudachi. We had 1000 students with 15 classrooms.

I could collect funds from India and abroad and constructed 40 classrooms School Building. With present strength of 3000 students.

Now zeal for Urdu medium School is weakening and the tendency of English medium is increasing. So we had Junnediya English medium School established along with Three computer Labs and Robotic Labs.

Now I have taken another 40 classroom project for English medium School. The Project is underway. We are getting financial support from our friends.

We have all three Mediums.ie Urdu, Kannada and English. But the parents are more inclined towards English Medium. We can't help.

In JEMS we have English, Kannada and Hindi languages. In addition, we have Urdu and Persian Diplomas financed by NCPUL, New Delhi.

Robotic Lab is financed by NITI Ayog. My Education, Service and my retirement years were my trysts with Urdu.

But I had an occasion to learn Urdu, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Arabic, Persian, English, Russian and Tagalo in Phillippines.

I am very happy with whatever I have done for Urdu and community. Everready to share my experience regarding Infrastructure Funding, Computer, NCPUL, Robotics, Artificial intelligence, Arduino, 3D printing, Augmented reality, Please feel free to share knowledge and ideas with me one to one.

May this Eid be a time for spiritual renewal, strengthened bonds:

 ##  Eid Mubarak: A Time for Reflection, Commitment, Sacrifice, and Humility Eid al-Fitr, a joyous celebration marking the end of Ramadan, is more than just exchanging gifts and feasting with family. It's a culmination of a month dedicated to self-improvement, a chance to reflect on the past, recommit to our values, and carry the lessons learned into the future.  1.  **Reflection: A Look Back on Ramadan** Eid is a time to appreciate the sacrifices made during Ramadan. We fasted, prayed, and practiced charity, all while confronting our weaknesses and strengthening our connection with Almighty. During Eid celebrations, let's take a moment to reflect on this journey. What did we learn about ourselves? How can we maintain the spiritual momentum gained in Ramadan? 2. **Commitment: Renewing Our Vows** Eid is a powerful reminder of the importance of commitment. We committed to fasting and prayer during Ramadan, and now we recommit to living a life guided by Islamic princip...

Its Hajj time: Remembering the meaning of sacrifice and sincerity:

*Peace be upon Prophet Ibraheem* Allah ordered him to take his family to a barren desert which had no inhabitants, no food, no water, and no means of provision. He didn't doubt or ponder. He obeyed. Allah ordered him to leave his wife and baby child in the blazing heat. He didn't think or doubt. He obeyed. Later on, Allāh instructed to sacrificed his child. He obeyed. You know the only thing Prophet Ibrahim's wife asked, "Was it Allah who ordered you to do this?" - That's it, she did not look at the pleasure of the world. She looked at the pleasure of Allah. She clutched onto her newborn whilst staring at an empty desert and it only increased her in conviction. You know how beloved her action was to Allah? thousands of years later, people give up everything to go to Makkah in order to imitate her and to quench their thirsts with Zam Zam - and they will be doing this until the last day. You know how accepted Sayyiduna Ibrahim's act of sincerity was? Peopl...

Allah will test us to show the true among us and what we are made of:

 - STORY 22 - Uncle Mohammad    Uncle Mohammad was a taxi driver in Makkah; he lived in an area called al-Jomoom about 20 miles outside the city limits. He was a hard-working man with a big family to support. He had always dreamt of being rich, not only so he could take better care of his family, but as he often expressed, to fulfil his desire to donate large sums for the sake of Allah.   One day, he said to his friend, “ You know what? I need to stop waiting to be rich to give more for Allah. I am starting this week.” The friend asked, "What will you do?"   Uncle Mohammad already had a plan, and his plan was simple. He decided to assign one day a month for the sake of Allah. He would not charge passengers any money that day. All rides would be free for the sake of Allah.  The taxi driver was struggling with all the expenses related to his taxi license, taxes, home expenses, etc. The taxi business was already suffering. It was not like it used to be in Makk...
