*A true story*
Let me tell you a story about a teacher
This teacher was trying to collect money from other teachers to furnish the Musallah (prayer room) of the school and fix an AC unit.
She said: I never gave up; I used to talk to the teachers every day and remind them of the great reward of this deed. I was collecting bit by bit hoping to reach the needed target, it took me almost a month. One day one of my colleagues said: Enough, you are really disturbing us!
You keep asking all the time. I said: WAllahi it’s a great cause and it is the path to Jannah in shaa Allah, give anything even if it’s one Riyal.
She said if I give you a Riyal would you leave us alone. I answered: Yes, in shaa Allah. She then took a Riyal from her handbag and threw it at me!
The teacher who was collecting the money says: I completed collection from my family and friends and Alhamdulilah I managed to collect what I thought would be enough to furnish the Musallah and buy the AC unit. Then she says: WAllahi lladhi la Elaha Ella huwa, the receipt of the items I bought came with one Riyal stapled on it as an extra! My body froze and I said Subhana Allah, I then returned it back to that teacher.
La Elaha Ella Allah ….. One thing you need to understand is that before the Sadaqa reaches the one who needs it, it reaches the hands of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’alah first. That colleague took it out of her handbag and threw it in a bad manner so it was not accepted and it came back to her.
WAllahi no one gives sadaqa except those who have tawfeeq (success) from Allah and those who don’t give are the ones who are denied that special mercy from Allah. Always remember this my dear sister.
May Allah make us among those who have tawfeeq to give for the sake of Allah and never worry because Allah promised us that sadaqa does not decrease wealth.
