The Eid ul Adha let us strive to reflect on these sincere sacrifices, and unconditional submission towards Allah (S.W.T):

The sacrifice has got a greater meaning for mankind.


The point of the sacrifice is to kill something dear to man as an offering to the divine, as Abraham (A.S) was prepared to do, serving as a reminder to followers of Islam not to become preoccupied by their possessions or lose sight of their spiritual compass. 


*Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah , Lord of the worlds.* (6:162)


Eid ul Adha reminds us of the Sacrifice of a family of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S).


This Eid ul Adha let us strive to reflect on these sincere sacrifices, and unconditional submission towards Allah (S.W.T). 


Let us not forget the reason behind the celebration of Eid al-Adhaa; the true sacrifice of a father and son, their ultimate submission to Allah and the lessons they left behind.


May we strive to sacrifice our wealth, time and efforts for the pleasure of Allah swt.

How does Allah Ta’ala increase when He accepts the sadaqah!:

- It is a story from 1282 Hijri, that is, 160 years ago. There was a noble and righteous woman named Munira in the city of Buraidah, Saudi Arabia. She intended to bequeath her jewellery to her brother before she died and instructed him to buy a shop from that money. Whatever income would come from this shop would be spent to fulfill the needs of masakeen.  After her death, her brother sold the jewellery and bought a shop in the name of his sister, which was worth twelve riyals according to the currency of the period. The power of Istighfar:

This story about “Istighfar” is from the life of Imam Ahmed Bin Hanbal, often referred to as the “Sheikh ul-Islam” or the “Imam of Ahl al-Sunnah.” During his old age, while Imam Ahmed was travelling he stopped by a town. After the prayers, he wanted to stay for the night in the masjid yard because he didn’t know anyone in the town. Owing to his humility, he hadn’t introduced himself to anyone thinking that if he did, he would be welcomed by many people. Failing to recognize Ahmed bin Hanbal, the caretaker of the mosque refused to let him stay in the mosque. As Imam Ahmed was quite old, the caretaker had to drag him out of the mosque. On seeing this, a baker from a nearby place felt pity for Imam Ahmed and offered to be the host to him for the night. During his stay with the baker, Imam Ahmed observed that the baker would constantly recite Istighfar.
