•        Surah Isra/Bani Israel: This chapter talks about the night journey of Prophet Muhammed ﷺ toward the Heavens (Isra & Meraj), an honor that no one else other than our beloved Prophet Muhammed ﷺ received. Isra was the beloved’s ﷺ journey from Makkah to Jerusalem, and Meraj was that from Jerusalem to the Heavens.

•        This chapter also mentions in detail many incidents of Bani Israel.

•        Allah’s wisdom behind taking Prophet Muhammed ﷺ to Jerusalem was to grant him and his followers the custodianship of Masjid al-Aqsa, just like that of Masjid al-Haraam in Makkah.

•        Though this chapter is themed at Tawheed, morals, affirmation of the Doomsday, but it also focuses on messengership, and particularly in that of Prophet Muhammed’s ﷺ.

•        The first verse states that Glorified is He (Allah), the One Pure from any defect or weakness, who took His “Abd” (slave - Prophet Muhammed ﷺ) from Masjid Haraam to Masjid Aqsa in a portion of the night.

•        The Arabic word Abd has been used in this verse which denotes body and spirit collectively. Thus Quran proves that Isra & Meraj wasn’t a mere spiritual journey, nor was it a dream of Prophet Muhammed ﷺ. And if it was a dream, He the Exalted wouldn’t have used the word “took” his slave to Masjid Aqsa.

•        Allah states that spiritual and material blessings are widespread in Masjid Aqsa (and its compound), as it is not just a land of gardens, fruits, and trees; but is also the place of revelation for angels, and had been the same for prophets (meaning many prophets came there).

•        The next verse says that Isra & Meraj was a parameter to gauge who was a believer or a disbeliever, and this can obviously be set as such when the said travel was bodily. Else anyone can see anything in a dream, rather weirder than this, and nobody calls a dream a lie, as did the polytheists of Makkah then upon listening about this sacred journey.

•        More details of Isra are mentioned in Surah Najm and hadiths.

•        During this journey Prophet Muhammed ﷺ led all the previous prophets and messengers in Masjid Aqsa, and the Divine wisdom behind this is our beloved ﷺ is not just the leader of those who were to follow him (the Ummah), but also the ones who had passed away.

•        The next morning, Abu Jahl asked Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (ra) if it was possible for someone to go to and return from Jerusalem from Makkah. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (ra) said it is not possible. Then Abu Jahl told him what Prophet Muhammed ﷺ said about Isra & Meraj. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (ra) said that if the prophet ﷺ has said so, then it is true.

•        The next verses talk about the warning that Allah gave to Bani Israel that if they spread destruction in Syria, they will be punished. However, for the first time when they opposed the Torah and unjustly killed prophets like Sayyiduna Shuaib (alaihissalam), Allah set behind them Nebuchadnezzar II and his army which spread throughout the lands of Bani Israel and killed its leaders and scholars, killed people in Jerusalem and made Bayt al-Maqdis a deserted place, and took with them many Israelis by arresting them.

•        The second time the corruption and destruction of the Israelis became widespread when they killed Sayyiduna Zakariyyah and Sayyiduna Yahya (alaihuma assalam). They transgressed by doing so. Then Allah set behind them another king who destroyed the Israelis.

•        During the time of Prophet Muhammed ﷺ too, Jews deceived treacherously by breaching agreements.

•        It has been the Rule of Allah to destroy the rebellious and those who cross their limits, and to grant spiritual and political leadership to the nation who follows Allah’s commands.

•        Verse 13 talks about fate and the hereafter.

•        The next verses talk about morals: to deal with parents kindly, to bear good conduct, being good to the family members and the needy, etc.

•        Allah also ordered for the refrainment of murder & adultery, consumption of the (financial & material) resources of orphans, breach of agreement. He the Exalted ordered to be fair in weighing commercial goods, to cross verify any news before forwarding them further, and instructed humanity to abstain from arrogance.

•        Verse 78 signals 5 times prayers a day.

•        Quran is a means of mercy and healing for the Muslims.

•        The Jews questioned Prophet Muhammed ﷺ about Ruh. Allah said that they are not eligible to know it. This also shows that one need not necessarily know about those aspects which do not concern his/her salvation and guidance in the hereafter and in the earthly life respectively.

•        Few verses from the verse 90 talk about the demands which the polytheist of Makkah kept in front of Prophet Muhammed ﷺ to prove his messengership.

•        In the next verses Allah says that all the humans and the genies collectively cannot bring a verse equal to that of the Holy Quran.

•        The dialogue between Sayyiduna Musa’s (alaihissalam) and Firawn is the mentioned, and the downfall of Firawn.

•        The last verse says that Allah neither has children nor is anyone included with Him in His Dominion. He doesn’t need any helper, whereas the entire universe is in need of His Help.

•        Surah Kahf: Kahf means cave, denoting the one which the believers from the previous Ummah took shelter in.

•        The theme of Surah Kahf is Imaan (belief) vs materialism – all the incidents, indications and examples signal the same.

•        This chapter is specially related to the giving protection during the last days on earth, especially against the trials and temptations of Dajjal.

•        Prophet Muhammed ﷺ said that the one who recites the last ten verses of Surah Kahf will remain protected from Dajjal.

•        The initial verses of this chapter glorify Allah.

•        9th verse on state the People of the Cave. They were pious young men; their people were involved in polytheism; their king was an oppressor. Their people went against them, so they took refuge in a cave. A dog followed them.

•        When they reached the cave, the dog sat at its entrance. Allah slipped them (the men and the dog) into a deep slumber.

•        They slept for 300 years (309 years as per lunar calendar). When they woke up, they felt hungry. They sent one of their men to a nearby town to purchase some eatables.

•        The shop owner saw old coins which were given unknowingly by the pious men from the cave. He escalated the issue and handed him to their “police”.

•        That place was ruled by a Muslim king who believed in life after death. Secretly, he used to pray to Allah to show him a miracle so that he could guide his people towards truth.

•        When the king figured out the truth, he became delighted, and his men constructed a Masjid on the site of the grave.

•        This incident also tells us how easy it is for Allah to wake up people from their graves in the hereafter.

•        From verse 32, there’s a mention of a poor believer and a rich disbeliever.

•        The believer advised the disbeliever to recite “MashaAllah La Hawla Wala Quwwata Illa Billah” when he entered his gardens. The high-class disbeliever arrogantly replied that his wealth and riches is all because of his hard work, and that he doesn’t care about the Doomsday (Qiyamah).

•        The poor guy tried to explain the rich one, but the latter didn’t heed. Eventually, all of his gardens were destroyed, and he couldn’t do anything.

•        The next verses give us a learning of using the word “inshaAllah” (meaning “if Allah Wills”) when intending to do any permissible task in future.

•        The next story is an interesting one of Sayyiduna Musa’s meet with Sayyiduna Khidr (alaihuma assalam), which will be covered in the next part, inshaAllah.

Quran Juz 21 – Utlu Ma Oohiya - Summary:

 - Quran Juz 21 – Utlu Ma Oohiya Summary Join Us:  https://chat.whatsapp.com/EwGX2NFn95O2Bo92HkyyiI • This Juz starts off with the divine commands of Quranic recitation and establishment of prayers.  • The benefit of establishing prayers is mentioned. It keeps a person off from indecency and vulgarity. Hence, a Muslim can use this as a parameter to know the acceptance or rejection of his/her prayers in the Court of Allah. • How can a person deem his prayers as acceptable if s/he is involved in lies, breach of promises, oppression, open loot, indecency in vision and speech etc.  • One of the characteristic features of Prophet Muhammed ﷺ is being mentioned, that is he did not formally learn to read and write. However, his teacher is Allah the Exalted; there is a hidden wisdom behind this aspect.  • Then Allah commanded that a Muslim must not shun morals should there be a need to discuss and debate with the People of the Book (Jews and Christians).  ...

Discipline is not oppression, it is love in action:

 - *The Perils of Pampering: Raising Disciplined, God-Conscious Children*   In a world that glorifies instant gratification, indulgence, and materialism, we risk raising a generation that lacks resilience, respect, and responsibility. The saying, *"A pampered child becomes a spoiled adult,"* holds profound truth. If we fail to discipline our children today, we may find ourselves helplessly watching them struggle tomorrow or worse, witnessing them turn into entitled, inconsiderate adults.   *Discipline is not oppression, it is love in action*. It is the framework that shapes a child’s character, teaching them that life does not always bend to their will. If we refuse to instill these values at home, the world will teach them often in ways we would never approve of.   Islam places immense emphasis on disciplined upbringing. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:   > *"Command your children to pray at the age of seven, and discipline them for it at t...

A dua from a parent to their children:

Let us all pray for our children with this long dua.  A POWERFUL DU'A FOR CHILDREN! In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful! All praises are for Allah SWT, the most Compassionate, the most Forgiving. Salutations and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad SAW, his family and companions. Oh Allah, I submit myself to You. I realise that parenting a child is a very difficult task and I turn to You in humility for Your help. I implore You for Your wisdom and guidance. Oh Allah, I know that our children are an amaanat from You, to care for and to raise in a manner that is pleasing to You. Help me do that in the best way. Teach me how to love in a way that You would have me love. Help me where I need to be healed, improved, nurtured, and made whole. Help me walk in righteousness and integrity so that You may always be pleased with me. Allow me to be a God-fearing role model with all the communication, teaching, and nurturing skills that I may need. Oh Allah, You know ...

Muslim Women at home are doing a wonderful job:

Women and household work ! 🌶🍅🌶🍅🌶🍅🌶🍅🌶🍅 To all of my believing sisters out there who feel “ being stuck at home “ with child rearing and cooking and cleaning day in and day out .... who feel their productivity and creativity is withering away , who feel there is a lot to do out there like going for hifz classes , attending lectures , volunteering for dawah activities and other ways by which they can gain Allah subhaanahu wa taala s pleasure .... Do you feel there is less opportunities at home for acquiring great rewards ? Then let me remind you of 2 great women of Paradise ... Khadijah and Fatimah , may Allah be pleased with them both ... Khadija , (R) was not a scholar of Hadith like , Aisha (R) ... she has not related a single Hadith, nor has she participated in any battle of Islam ... Then what are her achievements , of course being the first convert is the be...

We need to go back to these core teachings and examples of Islam and similarly strive for achieving an ethical and moral society, wherever we live:

- Assalamualaikum, For those who can drop their 21st century cultural baggage and read this sermon in its own historical context, one can’t help but admire it as one of the earliest declarations of human rights in written history. Almost everything Muhammad SAWS says in this prophetic sermon was almost unheard of and inconceivable prior to the arrival of Islam. The Prophet of Islam addresses some of the core universal values in a society where those values are long forgotten and violated in a systemic basis. The Prophet didn’t only say but transformed his society, in a very short period of time, remarkably in all the values and lessons that he talks about.  In this sermon of Muhammad SAWS, Muslims find their deep commitment to the universal human values such as sacredness of life and property, equality, justice, peace and more. Upon these high universal values, the religion of Islam was built.  We still have so much to learn from this 1,440-plus-year-old cry and we are so much...

I am on duty to serve:

When an European Airline was initially launched, an educated Muslim gentleman was travelling in the first class section. An air hostess approached him with a complimentary drink, this was an alcoholic drink so the man politely refused. The air hostess returned but this time bought the drink on a platter, designed to appeal and impress. However the Muslim man again politely refused, explaining he doesn't drink alcohol. The air hostess was concerned and informed the manager. The manager approached the man with another platter, now designed with flowers, he questioned, “is there something wrong with  service? please enjoy the drink, it is a complimentary offer.” The man replied, “I am a Muslim and I do not drink alcohol.” The manager still insisted that the man take the drink. Then, the Muslim proposed that the manager should give the drink to the pilot.. The manager stated, “how can the pilot drink alcohol, he’s on duty!  And if he drink...
